Me: hahaha, Heroes of Envell ended on such a good note! All of our protagonists are so hopeful and on their way to heal!

Also me: and now they will live with the fact that they watched the world crash and burn for the rest of their lives! They will probably slowly go insane from all the memories that only they remember! And their horrifyingly real trauma will always be with them no matter what!

#seeing Phil dissociating for a sec to look at his hand with which he ruled. commanded. and killed just punches you in the gut #he was also sentenced to death by electrocution (and he died during it) so basically he's not even supposed to be alive at this point #kira is filled with melancholy and grief over losing her familiar and also has to remember about her almost death via mourgarth #art has to start again from the scratch while knowing that if not for some unexpected events he would actually...#be standing there alone as a sole survivor since all of his friends died #he was lucky that by some miracle they were brought back (differently. including 'came back wrong')#vik has to live with the fact that he killed thousands of people (he already had a literal panic attack over it)#they just graduated from hs and the fact that they all have to live the rest of their lives with all of that is so...#realistically scary #it hurts #so so much #heroes of envell #герои энвелла

#repostober #day 13 yyaayy #deltarune #undertale #gaster #wd gaster #what inspired this was an old dadster painting i saw that drew the skelefam as realistic skeletons and depicted gaster as #a skull without teeth #so i looked up what a skull without teeth looks like and !!!! look its uncanny!!!!!!! i had to draw him like that #i love looking at this cus while drawing it i was in a super nostalgic mood and listened to a bunch of my childhood songs (in my native)#so while this could be interpreted as me trying to draw something scary #whenever i look at it i immediately feel the warm fuzzies i felt while drawing it and listening to songs kid me liked #to me this is a drawing of a childhood friend #anyways jhdks..#i tried to make the triangle shape under his head in the og sprite his rib cage #sort of morphing and contorting out of his melting body #also i tried to make the body of the sternum of this rib cage (the piece between the two sets of ribs) look like his soul #just some details i liked about this :'))))

I have conflicted feelings about the FNAF series in general, but seeing a movie where practical animatronic puppets are the primary focus of the film becoming not only financially successful but also well received by general audiences is pretty damn neat.

#five nights at freddy's #fnaf #fnaf movie #jim henson #halloween #the animatronics look genuinely so good #not only are they extremely faithful to the video game designs #but they also have such a great range of emotion and expression #the horror aspect of them isn’t overstated too much either #like so many horror puppets especially in the 2000s/2010s were very… in your face about the fact they were horror monster #like with a lot of grime and low saturated palettes and such #Idk I think horror puppets are better when they look kinda superficially not scary until they’re placed in the right context #like it would’ve been very easy to make the fnaf animatrocis look quote on quote realistic and grimy and obviously unsubtly horror-y #but they actually look like kids animatronics #like there are creepy aspects #like how tall they are or thier uncanny animatronic movements #but for the most part they literally do just look like chuck e cheese esque animatronics #thier creepiness has actual subtly #they’re endearing when they want to be and terrifying when they need to be #just very solid designs overal
